Deadstock Jib Wall Sconce by Castor

pin

Not dead yet. We can't imagine there's anything better than a lighting company with an upcycling fetish discovering boxes upon boxes of unused vintage shades, dead stock from a dead factory. The Castor Deadstock Jib Wall Sconce places one of those salvaged (and tilt friendly) shades on an elongated 47 cantilevered arm, the dual points of articulation allowing for precise placement of light. For precise volume of light, Deadstock features an inline dimmer switch. Rock 'n' roll lumberjacks. That pretty much sums up the punk rock-loving, Toronto-based design team of Castor Design. Experiments in upcycling have resulted in an eclectic array of contemporary lighting and accessories. Castor Design pieces are smart, industrial and elegant--and definitely tongue-in-cheek. Salvaged materials are given a new, bright life, such as old burnt-out light bulbs being turned into a shade for another fixture.
